Installation:

  1. Download the EaKiu_6.2.app.zip file to your OSXTM computer.
  2. Double click the file you just downloaded (named EaKiu_6.2.app.zip ).

    The EaKiu app will be extracted. Once extracted you should see the following icon:

    You can now delete the original EaKiu_6.2.app.zip you downloaded.

Launching:

  1. Double click the icon that was extracted in the Installation procedure. The EaKiu window should appear:

  2. Insert a Wi-Spy device into any powered USB port on the same computer running EaKiu. After a moment delay the program will recognize the device and begin displaying the 2D spectrum view:

  3. Type ? or h to get help on keyboard shortcuts.

Installation:

  1. First, follow the instructions in the left EaKiu Quick Start Guide to download and install EaKiu on your computer or laptop.
  2. On your computer, open iTunes and purchase EaKiu Remote from the App Store.
  3. Sync your iPhone/iPod touch to install the app on your device. After the sync has completed you should see this icon on your device:

  4. After the initial installation, we suggest rebooting your device prior to running the first time.

Launching:

  1. Attach a Wi-Spy device to your computer and launch the EaKiu program. Once your see your devices spectrum, turn on Server mode and note the port number:

    (Alternatively you can use MetaGeeks Recon program for Windows)

  2. Setup your iPhone/iPod networking (wifi) or cellular so that it has access to the same network that your computer running EaKiu is on.
  3. On your iPhone/iPod touch, tap the EaKiu Remote icon to launch the app.
  4. Tap the green + plus sign near the upper right corner on the EaKiu Remote display:

  5. Tap the Name field and enter a short name for the session.
  6. Tap the Address field and enter the IP address or domain name of the computer running EaKiu.
  7. If the port of the EaKiu Server is anything other than 2401 tap the Port field and enter the correct port setting.
  8. Now tap the Add This Device button. The device should be added. After a pause the spectrum should appear.
  9. If nothing appears make sure your iPhone/iPod touch is on the same network as the computer running EaKiu. Also make sure EaKiu is in Server mode for the desired Wi-Spy device and that you can see the spectrum on the EaKiu screen. Double check the IP address and Port.
